In this documentary, Logan Williams showed concern for the ecology of New Zealand’s rivers. Under the invasion of Didymo, New Zealand’s rivers were destroyed. We saw the importance of ecological protection. In fact, ecological protection is vital to food. In South Africa, 14 species of crops are seriously damaged. More than 130 species of pests are native species. They did not feed on these crops because of the introduction of exotic plants. Native insects have changed their diet and caused disasters. Humans provide food from agricultural production by growing edible crops and harvesting edible parts of crops. Due to the enrichment of harmful substances by organisms, if environmental protection is not strengthened, industrial wastes are discharged to land and rivers and lakes, polluting soils and water bodies, and harmful substances are used in agricultural products and foods through bioaccumulation. Enrichment will endanger the safety of food. On the other hand, if the environment is seriously polluted, crops may mutate, genetic changes or growing fruits contain harmful substances, and the food produced by contaminated crops will be unhealthy and unsafe. Therefore, the environment is the basic guarantee for food safety, so it is necessary to protect the environment and advocate the public to protect the environment. After watching this documentary, I will highlight the importance of the ecological environment for human food. I will tell people that the raw materials of human food are taken from nature. If nature’s hungry ecology is destroyed, the raw materials of food may also be polluted, it is vital to protect the ecological environment.
