After the teacher gave us the lecture about editing last week, I realised that editing is not just simply cutting shots, putting them together in sequences. Now, I realised that it is a complicated work to do. When I was in trinity college, I made several videos and edited them by using iMovie. Actually, i found that using iMovie is more easier than Adobe Pr. iMoive does not have so many functions can be used. Instead, PR can do a wide range of effects. Therefore, it is complicated to use.

The main goal of editing is to let audiences know what you want to present to them. A film is like a story, audiences can give feedback and they will be touchable after watching films. For editors, they have to be familiar with using PR to edit films. Usually, they need to collect materials and put them in sequences after cutting pictures, videos, audios. After that, they should decide what they have to highlight and provide detailed information to let audiences know what is going to happen. Moreover, timing is a very important part of editing. Several seconds can have huge differences when presenting a scene. Lastly, titles are vital due to the reason that it tell audiences what is going to happen directly or implicitly.

To sum up, Editing appears in our daily life, all the videos, Tv shows, pictures we watch has been edited. It is hard to be an excellent editor. Editors have to do a lot of things to make a film better and more meaningful.
