Week 9 Task Four Plan

In Thursday’s workshop, we created a plan and the timeline for Task Four by listing BIGGEST THINGS, BIG THINGS, and SMALL THINGS. I am still not sure the final decision for Task Four, however, I think the general idea is about the color and the narrative story. As I focused on the viewer’s perspective/reflection in Task Three, I will more pay attention to my own view of the question in Task Four.

THE BIGGEST THING:

Based on the pitch and feedback from teachers, the general idea for Task Four is about the color. However, the color could link to many elements about media and what I try to focus on is to create the story by noticing color.

THE BIG THINGS:

  • Choose a specific color.
  • Noticing the color in different condition/environment and take photos and clips.
  • Creating a narrative video through the imagination by combining the photos and clips together.

THE SMALL THINGS:

  • The ingredients might use in the task.
  • Choose the locations might use.
  • Collect the media in the different times, such as in the early morning, in the morning, at noon, in the afternoon, at the time of sunset, in the evening, at night, at midnight.
  • The images with the color I chose.
  • The short-time videos about the color.
  • Adobe Premiere Pro CC for editing.
  • The release form if required.

After the brainstorm for Task Four and the listing for the things we might face in the processing of working, then we created the timeline to plan out the next 4 weeks of working on our projects. Although there might have some emergencies and could not be done very perfectly, the timeline is still quite helpful for us to have a general plan for the project.

Week 9:

  • Brainstorm in the studio.
  • To record ideas and gain feedback.
  • To create the timeline.
  • Research relevant references.

Week 10:

  • Making a decision of locations and items might use.
  • Samples and drafts of editing.

Week 11:

  • The final decision of locations and items.
  • To collect all photos and clips.

  • Writing blogs.
