Week 12 Studio Feedback

-Project Test 1-

-Feedback-

In Thursday’s studio, which is the last studio in the semester, I exactly received valuable feedback from the students and Hannah.

As I have done all collection in the previous weeks, the work I did during week 12 was to create the video for the media I collected. The video I have done is just the test of  Task Four and there is no order in the test video, which means I put photos in random. However, I felt it makes me feel the video is too messy, so I consider if put photos in order or follow the sequence.

By showing the test video in the studio, there is some useful feedback:

  1. In the test project, some of the transitions are too quick. The quick movement makes the audiences feel stress about it and makes them have not enough time to reflect what‘s going on.
  2. It would be a valuable suggestion that making the sequence of photos. For example, put the photos that took in the morning together, at noon together, at night together; or put the photos of scenes together, about lights together etc. It is the idea I was considering about and I prefer to choose the first choice, which is at the same time of photos.
  3. Some subtitles might be useful if I create the video. For instance, list the time between each section, such as ‘9 a.m.’, ’12 a.m.’ or ‘4 p.m’ etc. The subtitle of the time can be seen as the signal to give the audience some reminders or clues about what the editor wants to express.
  4. The number of photos I collected is too much, so it would be better if I choose some of them that I would like to focus on to make the video more simple.
  5. Another option to create ‘the big final project’ is to create the online booklet by using Photoshop. The suggestion is to put multiple photos which have the similar objects at the same time together, then create the pdf to make some connections among them. The video might not easy for the audience to remember everything because they might forget the previous when they focusing on the images they are watching. Therefore, the pdf maybe help them to have the deep impression in some ways because the images are stillness. However, I still consider on this point, which is using the video or the pdf.
