Week 12 Project Test

-Project Test 2-

-Personal Reflection-

Before Thursday’s workshop, I completed two videos, one of them was shown in the studio, which is non-narrative (make all media in random to create the video); another is the video above.

I tried to organize the photos and videos in the sequence, which is followed by ‘time’ in the day. It is more narrative than the previous one. I set up the storyline for the video, for example, the tomatoes mean the market, then go to the cafe to get a cup of coffee, the flowers are the scene on the way…

However, refer to the feedback from the studio, although the transitions among each section are slow down, it is true that there are too many photos so that the audiences cannot focus on each one. A large number of media make them in a mess and do not have a deep impression. Moreover, the background music is not connected perfectly, it is what I need to improve.

I will try to decrease the number of photos to create a new video again and add some subtitles to help understand the content. In addition, Photoshop will also be used to make the form of pdf to test if it would be better.

-Project Test 3-

-Personal Reflection-

Based on the feedback from week 12’s consultation, I selected some of the photos and tried to create them into the booklet. Thanks for Hannah’s recommendation, issuu is a useful website to make the digital booklet, however, I did not figure out how to use it although I spent almost two days on it. Adobe Premiere CC is also working on creating the digital booklet and the video above is the completed product.

From my point of view, this one is better than the previous two videos because the combination of similar photos (such as the elements of lights, traffic, food) would give the viewer more sense of contrast. However, it is not the final video I will upload because there is one more test need to do, which the video with the separate photos.
