The Pitch Draft:
The viewersâ perceive is the theme of Task Three and I divided it into these three parts to develop my experiments and questionnaire is the main method to reflect questions in the task.
Experimental One
One of the questions I came up with in Task Two is âwhat elements would make a deep impression on the viewers?â In the first experimental of Task Three, I used it as the fundamental to develop a further research. I took photos from different angles at the same place and ask five people about their first noticing, feeling on photos. Based on the responses, I found the subjects with the higher frequency of occurrence, have more chances to attract the viewers’ attention and these subjects which grab their attention might affect people’s emotion to the place. Moreover, people’s first emotion always depends on the feelings the first thing they noticed brings to them.
Experimental Two
From the feedback of experimental one, I decided to discuss the link between the angles of photos and peopleâs noticing. This term, I chose a tiny subject which is the ice-cream cup and took photos from different angles as well. According to the viewerâs noticing, they more focus on the main subject than the prop. Moreover, notice the subject from different angles have the influence on colours, lights so that bring them different feelings.
Experimental Three
âColourâ and âPeopleâs emotionâ are the key points in the last experimental. I used warm-toned colour and cold-toned colour as the comparison to explore if people would change their emotions. The responses showed that the changes of colours definitely affect their moods.
Task Four
In task three, the point is âthe viewerâ, so I would like to emphasize on âthe mediaâ itself in Task Four. The question I might set up would be ‘how colours change interpretation’ or ‘how colours change what we think/notice in media’? I will create a video by combing multiple narrative photos to stimulate the imagination so that to find out the importance of colours and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of video and photo if possible.
