Task One – Noticing Post
‘The frequency of use of electronic products in the learning process’ is the topic of the series moments of noticing. As the development of advanced technology, electronic products become an indispensable part of life, especially when studying.
I took some photos from lectures, studios, and library to collect the general information and also recorded some videos. When looking back to these photos and videos, I found that most of the students prefer to use laptop/iPad to take notes; a few of them choose to use the original way, which is by using paper and pen and some students bring both paper and laptop. Furthermore, I noticed that although electronic products are useless in some lessons, students are still like to bring, not for using, maybe it just becomes a habit. Many students use their phones/iPad/laptop for relaxing when they do not want to listen to the teacher or study and it is the biggest aspect that would affect students’ learning efficiency.
For my series of noticing, I prefer to use video to record students’ performance. Photos just could record the static moments, they cannot reflect the continuous screen; however, videos could record the dynamic changes of the view, it is the reason why I could get the results of noticing above.
