This time to go back to China, I had been to many weddings to experience the daily life of editors and cameramen. My parents are wedding designers and they did this job for 19 years. They started to took me to different kinds of weddings when I was a child, however, unfortuately, I am not interested in their business at all and do not have the thought to take over their company. I wanted to be a teacher before I studied in the university, however, the requirement of languages is too hard to me, so I gave up. Then, I thought, maybe I can learn the major which is helpful for my parents’ company. However, I am not good at drawing, so design is not a good idea; but I am interested in taking photos! I like to use camera to record everything happened around me! Thus, I think media maybe a better choice. Fortunately, I made a correct choice.

To improvement and learn more skills, I went to my parents’ friend’s studio, who are a cameramen, but he is also a editor. He really has high skills on editing and photographing. The video below is the click he made for one of the wedding.

I know I cannot do the video like he does now, but I will try to achieve his level, even do better than him in the furture! We just have four weeks left for semeter one, I learnt how to use the blog, how to use the premiere pro, how to write the storyline, how to do the interview and so on in the past eight weeks. I was the person who know nothing about using laptop to editing a video, then I learnt step by step and finished the first video of PB 1, PB 2 and PB 3 until now.

The process of learning is so challenging to me but also interesting. I enjoy to use the new application to do the fresh things. As I mentioned before, I wanted to made the video for my boyfriend when I was in high school, but I failed. Now, I can achieve this goal.

I paid more attention to ‘photography’ than ‘edit’ before. Now, I still interested in photographing, but I prefer to become a editor. I like to use camera to shoot every person and everything I love and make all clicks together to form a completed video, so tha I can review these good memories when I become elder. Meanwhile, to be a editor is also helpful for my parents’ company, although I still not interested in their business until now.
