Media Workshop -1
It is the first class for media workshop. We were divided into several groups and took a “secret photo” by Mr.Brian. Then, we had a general introduction about our new friends. Studied how to use course blog was the only thing we needed to did in the rest of time.
Actually, I was nervous before I had the first class because there were so many foreigners. The most important thing is I did not get the hints of the lecture yesterday, so I afraid that the same situation would happen again. Fortunately, although I still could not catch teacher and classmates’ ideas immediately (of course because of my poor English~), I feel a little bit better than yesterday. Workshop is just like a class that we can talk freedom, chat with each other, declare myself and ask questions if have some problems. Moreover, I like to enjoy music and do course work at the same time, but I prefer to listen to some music with strong rhythm. Overall, I enjoyed the first class, although there were many homework I need to do.
It is great that I made friend with two Chinese lovely girls and new friends who come from Singapore, Hong Kong. We introduced ourselves and discussed our experience. I enjoyed we introduced our new friend one by one, although I did not hear very clearly sometimes, it was really a good chance for me to practice listening and know each other.
According to their introduction, some are interested in drama, so they want to be a member of drama designer; some want to work in the cinema factory. It was surprised that I found my proposal by the completion of this degree because of their inspiration. One of my hobbies is baking and cooking (both Chinese food and Western food), I also like to taste some famous and delicious food or dessert. Thus, I hope to build my own website or blog to share the process of making food and the feeling of tasting; if I have chance, I want to be a gastronome and communicate with the public through social media platforms.
To summarise, I had no expectation about future at the beginning, however I have a goal and I am trying to achieve this by learning media because social media platform is part and parcel of the society and it has strong force to promote the development of all streams. Thanks for today’s class, the free talk gave me idea. Meanwhile, I will try my best to improve my English so that I can understand the hints each class. I love media, I believe I will achieve my goal!
