Week 6- lecture

 

 

In this week ‘s lecture, Rachel Wilson talked about blog, she mentioned that we are not doing  enough blog. She introduced about the Reflective Practice which is the methodologies of discipline, it explicates the practical knowledge and helps development of the professional expertise. The DIEP is quite useful, I could just easily follow this structure to reflect on my learning moments: 1. Describe abjectly one thing you learned, it can be a new insight of what you have learned. 2. Interpret the insight, you need to explain the reason about it’s importance. 3. Evaluate the effectiveness and usefulness of the learning, you need to consider the value of your learning and how is it useful to your course. 4.Plan how this information will be useful to you, you need to think about how to apply this learning in the future. She also mentioned that we are media students, and we need to use different mediums such as Photos, videos, sounds,webs, and social media. I found that I rarely use other medium, and my blog is full of words. I feel that I am not using blog in the right way, I regards blog  as a place to hand in my work, but that’s not what blogging is. I need to relate blog with my life, to share and record my ideas and thoughts.
