week 7 – Class reflection

Screening-Film

We had a small screening in class, which was extremely excited and nervous to me.  (You know that feel when  your project was on the big screen, and everyone gonna watched it. ) Everyone did a good job. We had all different themes and angles. And after screening, we need to give feedback to people in groups.

My group has Jason, Jasmine, Yolanda and me.

-Jason

He was interviewing a barber who has an old-fashion barber shop. I like the opening shot, it was a wide shot having a barber chair  and tittle , rather than just tittle with black background. I also like how he divided the stock photo into 3 frames. The bold tittle looks great in the video as well.  It could be better if he includes the feedback of the barber from his customers.

-Jasmine

She was interviewing a guy who loves cosplay. It was very interesting that in the beginning, she didn’t show the face of the person directly, instead we can only saw a person wearing colorful  dress.  I though that was a girl at first sight. Her found footage was perfect to represent the inner world of that guy ,about his purse and thought.  That’s exactly the function of found footage,  to enhance and explain the film.

-Yolanda

She was interviewing a design student,  I like the close-up shots  of the guy ‘s hands when he was making a dress. It had great music  which was gentle and soft, it matched with his personality and movements.  It could better if she presents more about his daily life and interest in different angles.
