Week 1 reading

The 10,000 hours roles is quite interesting, Malcom Gladwell stated that when you spend 10,000 hours on practicing one thing, then you will almost become a master.  However, the time should be spent on doing right things, otherwise that will be useless. Anders Ericsson mentioned that the Deliberate Practice is the right way to arrange your time and works. In another reading, it said that passion is not the only element when choosing a job, happiness is also the important thing to your work.

In the lecture, we wrote down 10 things that we want to be or be better at by the end of the degree. I listed:

1. make a film with my own satisfaction
2. learn more software skills
3. explore my own film style
4. find my position
5. watch and analyze more films
6. Practice, Practice, Practice
7. better at communication
8. know more about film history
9. to be an independent filmmaker
10. enjoy my uni life
