THE POMODORO TECHNIQUE

When talking about  Deep Attention, it remains me of the Pomodoro Technique. Basically, it is a time arrangement method to keep you in Deep Attention.

How it works:

  1. Choose a task you’d like to get done
  2. Set the pomodoro for 25 minutes
  3. Work on the task until the pomodoro rings
  4. When the pomodoro rings, put a checkmark on a paper
  5. Take a short break
  6. Ever 4 pomodoro, take a longer break

Does it works?

I don’t know about other people, maybe it works for you. But it doesn’t work for me. It will cause work fragmentation and compromise working efficiency. For example, when I enjoying reading a fiction, the pomodoro rings, it really gives me a scare, sometimes I will keep reading using the 5 minutes when it comes to the exciting part, sometimes I will take rest, get some water, take a breath, however I will also check my message and social media, and ignore the porodoro rings, so I break the rules. It may takes me 10-20 minutes on social media, and when I get back to the fiction, I realized that it is too hard to focus on it again. Anyways, the Pomodoro Techniques is not a good way to keep me in Deep Attention.
