The simplest way for me to represent myself is to draw me how I imagine me.
I often struggle with issues of gender and a lot of the time I feel like I’m pretending to be a woman. I photographed a wire female bust to explore the idea of constructed femininity and beauty standards, with it’s cage shape and bra reflecting the daily constraints women face in society.
This is my best friend Rose. Our friendship has been a tumultuous one, in which we have both tackled our own hangups and prejudices. Together we continue to grow as we discuss and come to terms with issues of race, identity, belonging, intimacy and sisterhood.

I live in a house with 5 musicians, and this is a recording of me walking through my house.
I’d consider myself to be a lazy person, but I often beat myself up about it.
A lot of the time I feel out of place and alone, but it doesn’t upset me. I think my difference is beautiful.
