RMIT’s resource for Copyright on blogging promotes a more caring approach to what you share on your blog. Any sort of public blog online, gives access to a wide range of public exposure, therefore there is a need for awareness of copyrighted works in the online space. Sharing ideas, videos, images and even articles is not as simple as typing in a simple google search when it comes to copyright. The approach must be, on a basic level, to not publish work that is not held as copyright by an owner, and when sharing things like images, videos & audio, be able to link it to the copyright holder and not share work that is breaching copyright itself. Embedding is a bloggers best friend for copyright, to link to outside sources, without publishing something like an image in the blog that is owned by someone else.
