During this weeks lectorial we went through a story telling activity using 5 cards, 1 beginning, 3 Middle and 1 end. The exercise challenged us to build a flowing story from beginning to end, while being able to shuffle any of the Middle cards around and have it still make sense. In this way, my partner Matt and I created a seemingly ridiculous plot. However even this basic exercise shows how important event flow can be during a story, and that the best stories build to an ending through the middle and when it is moved around can get drastically different results in terms of story and quality.
