Ideas developed from ‘Us Now’ Documentary – Flip Lecture
Us Now was a documentary made in 2009 and focused on the development of the internet and its effects on society in regards to the way we as society interact in the world en masse. This documentary got me thinking about modern protests and how we don’t need to necessarily go out into the street and protest with a sign, we can protest online and in a way it is easier and more effective in reaching everyone. I think the documentary is a little out dated being made five year ago and it didn’t focus on smart phones which I think are the major focus of revolutionising the way society interacts and communicates with the world.
