This work is supposed to show the emotion of “anger” , which means want users feel angry. Because this work is non-tactile required, we choose the elements of “camera” and “microphone” to satisfied. We are inspired in class. Sometimes the voice while group are discussing is very loud and may interrupt others, thus we come up with an idea of creating a system to check whether our voice is too loud. We make both camera and microphone to catch the users movements and voice to control the system — change the picture by the size of the sound and make the action still to create awkward emotions. The picture is calm emoji and angry emoji, the size of the sound can directly reflect the change of people’s emotions, and the emotions can be represented on the two emojis.
This time we explore a lot and “steal” a lot on the technical level. We add the element of microphone first time, and observing the data change of the volume to adjust switch of the changing picture and stopping camera system. Also, we try to split the video image into nine different windows with “jit.scissors” to create the anger and interesting effect. However, exploration always accompany with challenges. Our observation of the data is not careful enough, thus cause the sound-sensing system is not very sensitive, and also we find difficulties in the picture and image retention time. However we finally solve the problems with the help of Camille, which he helps us observing again and reset the data, also reconnecting each step makes the work more influent.
