The theme of the work is to see the trueness of yourself through the pure heart, the other complicated and fancy things can not represent you. This work uses a simple specular reflection principle. The interactive aspects of this work is users as the object to be reflected on the different types of windows through the computer camera, and they can press different number on keyboard to control the system. This system includes eight windows, but only one window clearly reflects the users and the other are different types of blurry, it shows the prosperous things can not represent the true image of users. This work is playful and easy to participate, also leave the space for users to consider about the theme.
This work is also based on the “mirror like” window but we tried a lot of new methods to express the theme. For the challenges, because our group is not very familiar with the operation, we wasted a lot of time trying. We make seven windows blurry in different ways. We use “metro” to slow down the image, change the quality of image through “jit.grab” and “attribution menu”, also change the image’s colour by colour effect, and then cover a GIF picture on the window to blurry the images. Finally set all windows visible in presentation mood and users can press “2” on keyboard to hide all the blurry windows.
