The verb, “network”, scares me. I’m an introvert, I’m shy and I also have social anxiety, all of which make traditional “networking” nigh on impossible. The social network is

I found the etymology of the word extremely interesting, because I’m a nerd. A nerd for words.

Strength does not come from concentration, purity and unity, but from dissemination, heterogeneity and the careful plaiting of weak ties.

My favourite was reading the small scale/large scale stuff. No networks are bigger than any others (as odd as that seems), and the social theory especially was fascinating.
