Causality:  Cause and effect

Character development

  • the reactions to given scenarios usually forms the plot
  • causality allows a character to move from a blank slate to a fully formed figure

Plot

  • Person carrying out action, the action itself, and to who the action is being down

Resolution

  • Doesn’t have to necessarily be the final element, but can be the natural end
  • Can give clues to the early ploy

Genre

  • Looking for patterns throughout stories
  • Instantly recognisable

Cult

  • If it can be pulled apart into into various elements, which can be appreciated at the same level if not more than the complete original

Representation – refined method of depicting characters or scenarios
Expectations – if we see something often enough, we recognise signs and predict what is going to happen
