Intrinsic in communicating a self-portrait is conveying not only the aesthetic or superficial, but also in pertaining to an experience or period of time implicit in the photographs themselves. Moving to a new city goes beyond practicalities and logistics. It is an experience in itself, necessitating exploration of the new space that you find yourself in. Although perhaps somewhat cliched, these images communicate my (recent) experience of moving inter-state and of finding myself in a new city previously unexplored and unknown.
