We are all very familiar with the term selfie and in fact selfies are being to indoctrinated our every day lives. These days we take a selfie whenever and wherever, because the selfie recently just reflects the person as point of focus rather than back in the day when we used to take somewhat more valuable photos with a differing point of interest other then ourselves. So what does this say of society? That we are self- obsessed is there an underlying message that we seek affirmation from others through these very constructed self-photos. So what is the difference between a ‘Selfie’ and a self-portrait if there even is one? A selfie I have found literally is just a photo you chose to take of yourself because you think you are looking on point that day, whereas a self-portrait is constructed by you or someone else carefully to highlight aspects of yourself or qualities in it. Thats my take anyway…everyone for their own…
