Today we had our second group meeting for PB4. Now that everyone has finished they’re annotated bibliographies, we’ve started working on the script for the audio essay, as a rough cut is due by the end of next week.

In order to spread the work around equally, we’ve spilt the task into four parts. Each of us are writing a seperate part of the script which we will put together in the workshop and change it so it doesn’t feel as though its be written by four different people.

The current idea for the audio essay is to have a podcast style essay that looks at how audience theories have developed over time alongside technology, starting with early audiences at theatre performances and finish right up to today. We’re thinking it will kind of lead into the video essay which will focus on web 2.0 and how audiences have started to be referred to users as content can be created by more and more people.
