Workshop Seven: Mini Festival Feedback

Today’s workshop involved screening all the films for PB3 and giving feedback to others using the hats model. The following is the feedback for my group members

Amber, Yellow hat: I like the old found footage. The link between her family history and current politics is really nice. The shots of the photos are really nice, conveys a lot of information quickly. The footage alongside the bit where she’s talking about homophobia work really well and there’s a clear connection but still isn’t too obvious.

Hannah, Black hat: There’s some noise in the background, but that can be hard to get rid of. Maybe next time an atmospheric track or music could make that audio more continuous. But overall, I really enjoyed watching and listening to her story.

Emma (no assigned hat): Smooth pans are really good, the camera work as a whole is of a high quality. The audio sounds a little echoy, I don’t know if that’s just the acoustics of the room? The whole thing flows really well and feels continuous.

Jake, Green hat: The backdrop for the interview works really well, as does the music. I like the contrast between the lit interview and the found footage and the clips from the road. It works really well together and establishes his character as a professional who is willing to go out there and get involved with the world.
