As a general rule, media students struggle without wi-fi.
Until we were able to get a connection to the internet, we were given time in today’s workshop to edit our creative self-portraits. I’m happy with how my work is coming along, even though I know it’s far from perfect. I’m really enjoying working with Premiere again. Slowly, I’m remembering all the shortcuts and figuring out the differences between versions of the software.
This is certainly the most experimental work I’ve ever done. I’m used to working with narrative and without time constraints, so I’m not entirely confident that what I’m doing is right. But of course, the beauty of film is there is no right way to do something.
I’m enjoying working with the different mediums a lot more than I thought I would. Initially, including the photos and audio posed a challenge, but once I came up with one idea they just kept coming. Now my main issue is picking the best ideas and tying them in together.
