Due to an unexpected death in the family, I was unable to attend this week’s class in person but luckily as always Cat provided the class notes after, so I was able to see what we learnt, and I didn’t have to worry about falling behind in class. This week seemed to start with a recap of basic production terms, techniques and tips and it’s always nice to have a refresher in my opinion before looking at immersion art and virtual reality. The immersion art section was interesting to look at as it’s probably not something I’d consider for a media pathway for me but could definitely be for others who maybe has a passion for art as well as their media studies and want to combine them. The virtual reality slides were interesting as I’d considered virtual reality could be used for therapy for humans but never heard of them being used on cows and it was interesting to see how it helped them so much and made me consider how much this could benefit other animals as well as how much it could help humans.
