This article may have an obsessively long title, but don’t be fooled, it’s an easy read. Glanzer, Perry. L (2008) Harry Potter’s Provocative Moral World: Is There a Place for Good and Evil in Moral Education? the Public Schools May Be Afraid to Explore the Complex Moral Territory of the Harry Potter Books. but Mr. Glanzer Suggests That Moral Education Programs Could Profitably-And Legally-Address Some of the Same Big Themes That Engage the Young Readers of the Series, Academic Journal Article. The article compares the moral world of Harry Potter to the moral world of school. Glanzer explains how when a character in the book defeats an evil entity, it is due to their commitment to learning at school. He explains how Rowling creates a connection between learning and school activities and larger moral struggle. Again this article showed me that the Harry Potter series is a lot more than just a fictional story, it is an extensive learning device.
