Alright, so my project didn’t end so well. Actually, it didn’t end at all. I feel like I may have let my Grandfather down a little bit, he was so excited to tell me his story and have me document it. So by not being able to complete a final piece, I feel like I’ve let him down. I believe that the concept and idea of my project is great, but I needed slightly better time management to fulfil it. I was able to replicate the world he grew up in, by using photographs of him while he was young, applying black and white colour grading to match the media of that time. In all honesty, I didn’t enjoy doing this project. Producing these mini pieces of media is nothing new for me. If anything it makes it harder for me do to these projects because I’ve done things like this hundreds of times before and it’s the same thing. I’m hoping that things start to become more complex and “new” for me in the coming weeks, so I can push my current knowledge further.
