I can’t describe myself

It’s time, Project brief #2. I really had no idea how to approach this, everything just kind of unfolded while I was editing. I remember thinking hard about what I could do, and it just got too much. So I left the house with some mates and just filmed some skating. This really helped me escape from having to think about how I couldn’t think about anything. I know it’s not the best way to go about an assignment, going out and spending leisurely time with friends, but it worked out in my favour. I didn’t use any visual media from PB #1. However, audio tracks were used. I took some photos of black and white photographs I had taken, chucked in a few clips we stacked, changed it all to black and white, cause it looks cool, then added some audio tracks. I used my alarm track underneath, dropped the dB and put it on loop. Then the track of the birds chirping over that, again slightly dropping the dB and putting it on loop. And a phone call with one of my mates, sliced up and placed over the top. We basically talk shit all the time, it’s great! I was telling him about this project, hoping he’d give me an idea, and then we started going on huge tangents about people talking about their lives though VLOGS etc. After the call I thought, that’s me. Talking shit and cool looking footage. All the footage in the film has no deeper meaning, they are just aesthetically appealing to me. I’m really pleased with what I have produced considering I thought I had a minimal amount of media to play with. I feel that there aren’t any weak points of this project.
