So lets start off from where I am from. I grew up in a small mining town called Orange, in the central west of NSW. It’s an okay town, to be honest I could definitely not live there. But I am very thankful I grew up there.
This is my teddy “Big Ted”. I’ve had him since I was born and cuddle him most nights. When I moved to Melbourne I forgot to pack him, so Dad sent him in the mail for me.
I am really happy with my place in Brunswick. Great housemates, perfect spot and a nice house. This is the window I wake up to every morning, it’s tiny I know, but she goes alright.
Arthur Hope, invented and used a stone breaking machine to quarry rock near Merri creek. There’s a fun fact for you, and the street I live on.
And here we have Melbourne central tram stop, I get off here when I am going to uni, then get back on here when I’m done.
Finally, we have my camera. I love shooting on film, black and white in particular. It used to be my dads when he was younger, then I stole it from him and put it to better use.

I love the feeling I get when I go for a pedal with a good bunch of dudes. I try and go for a ride most days, it’s really good to just escape everything and not have to worry about a thing.
I really like dogs, I don’t have one of my own but this is my housemates dog, Leela. We’re not aloud to say the word “walk” around her unless you’re talking her for one, otherwise she gets too excited.
This is how we roll.

So growing up I lived on the most beautiful property, right in the heart of the bush, with a creek at our doorstep, wildlife everywhere and an orchid you could eat from. Going to the parks around my house are the closest I can get to the sounds of home. Here’s some birds singing.
As you know, I enjoy riding my bike. This is the sound I hear when I’m rolling fast.
This is my alarm, I wake up to it every morning and I feel like it’s the best way to start my day.

“But time is like the ocean, you can only hold a little in your hand. So we swim, before we’re broken, before our bones become black coral on the sand.”
This piece is from Josh Pykes’ song, “The Summer”. I let you decide what you want it to mean.
“You shouldn’t be able to pick a side, because we all live on a ball.”
John Butler is another artist I really love, I saw him live and, in-between songs he had a chat to us, these are just some of his wise words that were said that night. Such an insightful dude and so real.
