Lectorial?

So, as I was preparing for uni to start, I thought I’d arrive early. Cause thats what first years do right? I was approaching building 80 on the Monday morning and thought for sure I’ll have trouble finding the room. However, after no time at all I found myself peering though the glass of a filled room. Shit. They’ve started earlier. While all eyes are stitched to me I walk in and snatch the first seat I see. I take off my bag and begin absorb my surroundings. I soon have thought, this doesn’t look like a media class. A few seconds lapsed on that thought till I turned to the girl behind me. Sure enough, I’ve entered 10mins to the end of an architecture class. I leave. Then my actual class starts. A lectorial? Is this some new way uni is trying to create innovative ways of teaching and engaging with students, becoming hip and creating their own word. I like it. The lectorial was cozy and not overwhelming, kind of reminded me of high school, and the best part is that its not all one sided, the students get to talk between each other which is good. I really enjoy these “lectorials”.
