In this week’s class we showcased our project brief 2 to our peers. I was astounded by the the quality of ideas and technique used in the projects. We all gave each other feedback on what we liked and what we thought needed work.
People seemed to like the use of sound in my project, the thought that it tied in well with the cyclical nature of my piece and the ideas of interplay between certain themes within the project. They told me that my project made them feel anxious and that it had an unnerving vibe to it – this made me extremely pleased as that was my goal.
We were also assigned our groups and artist for our next project brief – I was teamed with Rose and Linda and we have been allocated to Vasilis Papageorgiou who is a painter, writer, assemblage artist and political activist. There was not much information on Vasilis online so I’m going to look into contacting Joseph from Testing Grounds in order to locate some more information on him.
