The Interview

Today my group and met up before the interview and discussed how we were going to direct it. We hired out some equipment from the Tech Office and also brought along our DSLRs in order to capture the interview from a couple of different angles.

We discussed the questions we were going to ask Vasilis and even discussed how we were going to edit it all together.

Apart from that, I focused on getting to know Linda and Rose a little better and asked a couple of questions about both their scholarly, professional and personal lives. I felt that when working in a group, if you have ideas about certain aspects of their lives, it is easier to coordinate and assign certain tasks – it also helps people feel more comfortable around each other.

After a quick trial of using the equipment we set off to Testing Grounds to meet Vasilis and conduct our interview.
Our interview went quite well, I think. Vasilis was very eloquent and passionate in regards to what he spoke about. He spoke about his time in Greece, his past projects and his present one. He also spoke about his interests in spirituality, politics, nature and science and how he usually combines them all throughout his artwork.

We begin the editing next week, this is usually where group members tend to clash as it is hard to settle on an aesthetic that sits in the middle of our three styles.
