JULIAN LUCAS

Julian Lucas has already garnered much recognition and success in his esteemed young career.  After graduating from RMIT University, Julian has worked directing, writing, editing and producing his own short films and TV Mini-Series, and in Tropfest 2014 finished in first place with his dark comedy Granny Smith.  With limitless opportunities ahead of what will surely be a long and prosperous career, what is next on the horizon for the young talent?

CLAYTON JACOBSON

Cclaytonlayton Jacobson is a versatile figure in the Australian film industry, having directed, produced, written and starred in many films and TV series. His acting credits include roles in “Ned Kelly” and the internationally acclaimed “Animal Kingdom”. Clayton began working in the industry in the editing department for TV series, features and documentaries including Richard Lowenstein’s “Dogs in Space” and Andrew Dominik’s “Chopper”. An acclaimed filmmaker, Clayton cut his teeth in the industry directing television commercials, short films, and music videos for some of Australia’s finest talents including INXS and John Farnham. As a director, his first feature film “Kenny”, which he co-wrote with brother Shane, received critical acclaim, winning Best Feature Film at the Inside Film Awards. We are extremely grateful to have Clayton as one of our industry guests.

We are happy to announce our first guest is Alicia Gleeson, who has been working as an editor in the film industry from almost 20 years. Since her work as an assistant editor on Terrence Malick’s “The Thin Red Line”, she’s worked in the editorial department on numerous films, including Hollywood blockbusters like “Blood Diamond”, as well as classic Australian films such as “Happy Feet” and “The Sapphires”. We are excited to have her among our guests for the seminar.
