A bit of a cheeky interview

On the lectorial of week 5, we did a bit of practice for our upcoming project brief; where we must record a two to three minute long interview of someone.

We were randomly placed in groups of three, and given a tripod and a ‘cute’ camera as our equipment (our tutor tends to find a lot of equipment cute). As per usual, we instantly came across an issue. Before I go into it, have a look at the image below:

Notice the problem? No? Well, see that red, ball looking thing? It’s slanted! Do you know what that means? Slanted video! DING DING DING! YOU GET  A SLANTED VIDEO, YOU GET A SLANTED VIDEO, EVERYBODY GETS A SLANTED VIDEO!

But seriously, this was a real annoying issue. Because we had no idea how to rotate the damn thing, we constantly had to be wary of how we were positioning our tripod in order to minimize the level of slantiness (is that a word?) within the frame. But like a bunch of soldiers, we worked around it and carried on! We filmed in several different locations and simply talked about tips on surviving university. Without further ado, here is the video!
