Having no previous experience with lighting, it was interesting to learn that there were so many different types of lights and forms of lights used for different scenarios e.g. hard light and soft light, blue light vs. yellow light. Having only shot in natural light before it was interesting to see how the boards and reflectors were used to direct natural light and aim light to bring a focus on the film subject and how to use lighting to create a specific ambience.
