unfortunately, i was out when abigail belfrage came and sat in on our class as i was suffering the aftermath of wisdom tooth extraction. i feel, being that i was completing a historic individual piece, her advice would have been very beneficial to my work, but alas i missed out.
abigal did give me feedback during the brief 3 presentation though, which i was able to utilise to my best efforts. she said to look on trove as they have many old newspapers and articles. and so, i did that and found so many mentions of vida goldstein and the work she was doing. a lot of the newspaper fonts were all smudged and unintelligible but there were just as many which gave me an awesome insight into the work she and the wpa completed as well as the views and popularity of vida goldstein.
i feel that of all the guest speakers that we had, abigail would have been of most use to me, but unfortunately i just had to make do with what i had and not dwell on the circumstances i couldn’t control! onwards and upwards.
