this image of my brother and i was taken last month in zadar, croatia. i was there on a family holiday with my brother and parents and if it wasn’t the most amazing trip a person could take, i don’t know what is. where i was staying is kali, otok ugljan – a small island off the coast of zadar, a 20 minute trajekt (ferry) ride away. the city of zadar was beautiful. featuring the old town and sveti donat aka st. donatus – a church built in the 9th century and still standing, beautiful and holy as ever today – and the sea organs
( Zadar Sea Organs ), which are experimental musical instruments that plays its music through sea waves and a set of tubes located under marble steps. at night it’s a magical thing to witness.
not only that, but zadar has an amazing array of restaurants and shops all in and amongst beautiful, old white marble paths and classic buildings.
this trip was the most amazing thing i’ve ever experienced, and i’ve never really felt like i belonged in a place more than i did in kali, which is saying something because melbourne is truly home – this was just a whole different experience that i can’t adequately describe in words. it was just five weeks of breathtaking moments time and time again.
very romantic photo in the summer sun. keep up the good work.
