in Symposiums

are we really moving forward that quick?

It was once of the last things Adrian said in the symposium that caught my attention… and that was that we are moving at a whole lot of different speeds technologically. He used the example of a computer.

The size of the computer over the last decade has decreased dramatically, and the variety of functions and abilities they possess continually changing… but then we come across something like the keyboard. The same electronic keyboard has been used on most computers since they were first brought about in the mid nineties! So what has stopped us from moving forward with only some of these things in particular? Why has the humble keyboard not deserved to be upgraded, re innovated and re designed? What sets it apart from the other aspects of the computer that meant we still allow it to hold progress back?
