In Rachel’s part of the lecture it became fearfully obvious to me that I hadn’t been doing enough, so I upped my anti. I started to realise that blogging does not have to be a burden if i do not look at it as such and i employ all the devices i am able to use so freely, unlike other degrees. Rachel told us we can write about any of these things:
- Lectorial
- Workshops
- Readings
- Media Consumption (which I do a lot of)
- Problems/Issues/Solutions (mainly I have lots of problems, but it helps to clear the air and blog about it when I have them)
- Media Noticing
- Connections to other classes
Rachel’s other tips from class was also extremely helpful for knowing what I can and can’t do in terms of the blog, but there is little we cant do really.
Noticing Media IRL
- Helps to inform future practise
- Supports the ‘picking up of ideas’
- We learn from noticing
D – Describe objectively one thing you learned
I – Interpret the insight
E – Evaluate the effectiveness and usefulness of learning
P – Plan how this information will be useful to you
