We have decided to scrap the idea of the episodic story. If we were to create an episodic, the team will have to create more stages and puzzles which will be time consuming since we have three more weeks to go. The previous narrative was to create the narrative along the line of the audience being part of the training and then they set off to protect the vital information from the Raath. The ending would all be “fake” and that it was all a training. Some of us felt that it would not be a solid ending and narrative thus we took that particular part out. In the narrative we will have two endings where it is determined by the trainee’s mission to save the information and their leaders.
We have tried out some of the puzzles and some of it was really difficult to solve. We need to make some changes to the puzzles so that it will be easier to solve and that it would not be time consuming. The team is in the midst of creating their puzzles and by next week we will be trying most of it out.
My role as a designer of the team is assign to design the floor plan and journals. When designing this items, I have to make sure that the content links to the narrative correctly. For example, the content in the journals are hint to the puzzles and it also gives hints to a whole new story too. I have to create content that will make the audience think that there is actually more to the story that we are telling.
By next week the team will need to create and confirm the puzzles, scripts, floor plan and journals.
