Today’s workshop task was to produce a short video with the theme of Misunderstanding in a group. My group’s concept was to have the boyfriend intend to propose to his girlfriend. Having the girlfriend’s hopes crash and burn when he pulled out a video game to play over the weekend and so, she dumps him. We had to shot this all in one take. The hardest part was finding a suitable location that would let us film without having to purchase a drink or be too noisy. That and the fact that we had one take to make this happen. We had about 8-10 takes before nailing this, it was such a struggle but I enjoyed it because it challenged each of us to stay in character and we had to plan out how to position the camera in each shot.
