Why do people crowd the train doors creating human walls and leave the aisles free? Today I missed a train because people wouldn’t move down. I felt as though they looked at me through the closing gap and revelled in triumph as they’d managed to secure a spot. It left me frustrated but also bemused at people’s selfishness. So you’re getting off at the next stop? How important of you, you get to stand right here then. Don’t go any further in or you’ll be trapped! Not true. I made my way to the middle of the train on my second attempt at Richmond, and successfully exited at Parliament station. If you stand in the doorways of trains and don’t move into the aisle when you can, you’re an asshole.
