Room with a view week 5

This year has been treating me nicely. After 2 years being alone, I finally found a Uni best friend: Callista, the one whom I really enjoy hanging out with and whom I don’t have to tackle a topic to talk to. The topics just pop into my head and I know this means: Yayy, you guys are in sync. Turns out she’s a weirdo just like me. I don’t mean anything bad by saying weirdo. In my own perception, weird girls are the coolest girl who stand out from the typical girls and we embrace hobbies which other ordinary girls don’t. For me, I love jazz, classical, movies from the 20th century and manga, who normal girls like? For Callista, she’s a real book addict. She can stay in a book store for 4 hours just to wandering around and finding new books!! Plus, she is a fan of classical music and as also a language enthusiast. Yup, she can speak 3 languages: Indo, English and Japanese (impressive, right??). And there are more to add in our weird girl list but the purpose of this post is about Room with a view so I won’t go in deep about this. And girls, don’t be offensive by reading my lines, i’m just trying to say that we are weird in a positive way.

Callista lives in the same apartment building with me. She called me today to asked if I could help her to proofread her essay. I came to her place as soon as I got home, and the hectic (as expected) night turned out to be a great time. I arrived while she was cooking so we had dinner together and of course I cleaned the dishes (’cause I feel bad if i don’t). I admire how clever she is, every time i’m struggle with something, she can always find a solution to my problems. This time is no exception. So, obviously I missed this week’s tute for Media 3, which I reckon is a massive problem since we ran through the instruction on how to work on live interview. I’ve already book the time with my interviewee and things were super vague until I met Callista tonight. So after proofreading her essay, which I did when she was busy in the kitchen, Callista helped me to fix my tongue twister while saying:”welcome back to 3RRR on 102.7fm…” so that the interview will be tongue-twister free, plus, she gave heaps of helpful advice on how to edit my interview and which recorder I should use. I reckon that if I didn’t meet Callista on the day, my interview would be ruin. At first I was suppose to conduct the interview at a coffee shop, but Callista told me it was the worst place for an interview since there are many people there and this might add too much noise in the recording. So I booked an editing suite to conduct the interview and after that I will edit the piece right away. Plus, since Josie said we could edit our interview, I thought that we had to add in music and sound effect to the piece but turned out we didn’t have to. Thanks to Callista, if she didn’t tell me that my piece would be all wrong. Phewww. After talking about the individual interview, that we just rambled on about books, movies, manga and how we decorated our bed rooms. Honestly, we talked so much my energy is totally drained and it must be a miracle that I still can type this in.

Ohh Callista you must be an angel heart emoticon. Why do I feel like we are so bonded?

I wanna write so much more. But my stomach doesn’t let me. I’ve been studying the whole day today, straight from 1:30 till this time. I gotta eat. Starving. Feeling like my blood pressure is decreasing again. Awggggg…

I think I caught a cold (no please don’t, my interview is in tomorrow :(( )
