This week is literally my last week for RWAV. It’s been an awesome journey, more than i expected. I was randomly picked to do RWAV since i missed the ballot. At first i was a bit down when i knew that this studio is about radio, which means i missed the chance to learn about TV broadcasting (yup one of my fav career and my 2nd choice in case i can’t be a pr practitioner). But then i thought, what are the good things about rwav? A whole lot. First of all, this studio gives me a chance to work as a real radio presenter and help me to improve my communication skill. Secondly, rwav makes me think that i’m actually working as a media practitioner, not a media student. Literally, Bruce and Josie don’t treat us like we’re students at all but instead we are media professionals. Yet, they’re always there when we need. Another plus for RWAV is that although it is about radio, but i feel like the things that i learn from this course are not bounded in the radio boundary. For example, we was taught on how to conduct an amusing and engaging interview, how to communicate in a courteous manner, how to work as a team and how it is like to work in the professional environment. All these things that i learnt from RWAV helped me a lot for my future career, whether it is about radio, TV, advertising or PR.
Although it’s my last week for RWAV, my work for this course is still maintain. I’m not yet done with my feature or the 2nd show, well, that’s a good thing ’cause i’d like to keep the fun 😀 (ehmm but not that fun anymore if i miss the due date 🙁 )
