So i’ve just submitted my individual interview to ROAR. To be honest I really like this assignment yet I did have a few hiccups while conducting the interview. First of all, i’m really really shy when talking to someone i barely know, so during the interview i was really nervous (ironic. I’m the interviewer!). Then I had some tongue twisters as a result. But beside of that my interview was quite ok. Bruce has given me some really cool tips when conducting the interview, which I think really helpful for me. These are:
- do a lot of research about of the interviewee, ask questions: who what where when why. Keep things very conversational not just Q-A
- Closing and opening is important: ‘We are with X in the 3R today,…,
- If they say something out of topic, spin it to your angl
- Practice non-verbal gesture: No ‘uhm, ohm’
- Where is the most appropriate place to do the interview.
Ohh, i’ve just remembered 1 thing which i’m not so happy about my interview: It wasn’t really conversational although I try to keep everything as natural as possible, but, ehm, at last it’s not as good as i expected. One more thing, I have no idea why the description of my interview on ROAR starts with a freak sequence of meaning less digit. Awggg :((. Well, finger crossed.
