Room with a view- First entry/week 1

This blog was first created for Networked Media. After completing the course, I thought that it was gonna be a pity if I neglected the blog. Therefore, I felt a relief when Mr Berryman, my adviser for Room With a View asked us to write reflections about the course and post them on our personal blogs. Awesome.

I did not choose Room with a view in purpose. I missed the ballot to choose my preference studio and I was arrange to be in Room with a view. A fortunate coincidence I reckon. As time goes by, I’ve found this course to be more and more interesting. Plus, I’ve got the opportunity to work as a real journalist. Go out of the pond, approach my interviewees, conduct my own radio shows, be on-air for the first time.

There was not so much happened at the first studio (or it is because I was late for 30 mins because I got lost finding the class?). We talked about the assessments, introduced ourselves. However, I was a bit confused at the end of the studio when Bruce and Josie told us to form a group and talk about our topic for the assessment. I much as I remember, they did not tell us which assessment we had to work on, so I thought it was the group one. So I formed a group with the 3 lovely girls: Krystal, Nora and Callista (really, I felt like I was bonded with them) just to find out that we were separated into different groups in the following studio.  My folks at the moment are Georgia and Jane, again, two lovely girls!! They are very cooperate and always try their best to meet up for a discussion notwithstanding their timetables are super hectic (Jane has to sacrifice her only day off just to meet up; and Georgia, although she was very sick, she still tried to manage for a meeting). I have a feeling that we will be a great team. However, as a shy person as I am, I need a little more time to get along with them. I want us to understand each other, so that we can talk naturally when on air.
