Completing this group project was no doubt a challenge with the current world climate. Adapting to moving to online learning when we had an in class presentation & pitch was definitely not something we were expecting but nonetheless preserved. I’m glad that we as a group decided to go into uni on Tuesday to complete the pitch and record the audio together. If we were going into the presentation normally we would be talking collaboratively and I didn’t want to lose that even though we were presenting in a different format. So the decision to polish off the presentation and record together I think worked really well in our favour and I think our groups good establishment of communication and discussion helped in this aspect too.
Collectively I feel as if we struggled initially to think as a “production house” as we all have three very different films about identity and belonging and want to make different videos that create social impact but achieve different results. This is because all of our key three achieve different results and this was a bit of road block we overcame after talking to Shweta on Skype. So we eventually found inspiration that will help us all create our videos, but also effectively communicate our different key three messaging as well. I don’t know if we would of been able to effectively and efficiently get the same result on the project if we were solely communicating and completing this online, I guess that’s some food for thought going into the next few weeks of this semester.
