Collaboration is an important part while a filmmaker doing a film with a team. It’s very familiar for me collaborate with a team working a film, same as last semester. In film 3, I am appreciate each member has their own ideas, but to be honest, not all people accurate knows how to work with a team. During the exercise of each week’s project, each member has the chance learning how to collaborate with others, it’s not only you just focus on your job but also needs to be 100% focus on worked with a team.

I worked with lisha and xiaochen many times not only during the semester, but also other times. I am very pleasure and thanks them help me a lot. I think I did well while I helping them doing their work. Communication is the important part when you collaborate with others, if your idea can’t persuade your team members, I think the work will not successful. Lisha and I helped xiaochen a lot during the semester because both of us are familiar on using EX3 and the sound mixer. But, I was kind of disappointed while I working with crews during week 2 exercise, work with a team should be respect them and listen others opinion,but at that time, we did not reach the same opinion which causes the clip failure. I felt angry after I review the clips. So I think collaborate with others not only just focus on your job, but also needs to be discussed with others your idea and achieve the goal together.

During the interview exercise, I did a good job on collaborate with our crews. As a director and camera operator, I communicate with them in details of their job and my thought, each member did their good job on their character, we discussed issues together and solve them. I helped them on using the sound mixer and check all the settings. In sum up, communication and collaboration both play their important roles, I am very enjoy working with a team and I need keep to learn how to working with others.
